LOVED. This. Book.

I liked this book quite a lot when I first started reading it. A little over half-way though that like became love.

The first half of the story alternates between “current” and “past” scenes. This not only builds the back story of the characters and introduces you to the world they live in, but it also carries you into their current job. About half way things start to go off the rails. And a little over half way, all hell breaks loose, and my like went to LOVE. By this time the “current” chapters have pretty much taken over, with only a few “past” interludes for a few brief reveals or vignettes to put the final touches on a bit of current business.

I liked this book so much, I think I may ignore my current “to read” list order and jump right to the next book in this series.
