“Full fathom five thy father lies;
Of his bones are coral made;
Those are pearls that were his eyes:
Nothing of him that doth fade,
But doth suffer a sea-change
Into something rich and strange.”
William Shakespeare – “The Tempest”
I saw this Pontiac Tempest, (to my untrained eye it looks like a 1961,) abandoned in the side lot of a house on a recent walk. It is completely grown over with weeds blocking all doors, caked in years of dirt & grime, all the wheels are flat, it’s missing a headlight… But it’s windshield wipers seem to have run recently and the windows are relatively clean?!
Had to go by with the camera again today and take some shots. This one I processed 2 different ways, using the same tone mapping, but one with full saturation, and 1 with no saturation. Then cutout the fully saturated windshield and headlights and layered them on top of the unsaturated version. Thought it was kind of cool and spookier looking this way.
